A winning double at Mildura has taken Dean Yendall to the top of the Australian jockeys’ premiership table.
With victories aboard In The Moment and Chicago Chick on Monday, Yendall has 143 winners for the season.
He leads James McDonald (142-1/2) with Blake Shinn third on 142.
Michael Walker sits in fourth place with 128 winners and will make a low key return to race riding at Pakenham on Tuesday after spending the past month on the sidelines with injury.
Yendall’s next engagements are at Bendigo on Wednesday where he has three rides.
