Fame Game and Hokko Brave have entered quarantine in Japan ahead of their trips to Melbourne for the spring racing carnival.

Racing Victoria confirmed the two Japanese stayers entered quarantine at Miho on Thursday to complete two weeks pre-export quarantine.

They are scheduled to arrive in Melbourne on September 19 and will be housed at the Werribee Quarantine Centre.

The first shipment of European horses for the spring carnival is expected on September 26.
